Seattle hosts Green Festival

This weekend, hundreds of speakers and exhibitors from throughout the country will come to Seattle to participate in the Green Festival. The event will include workshops, lectures and forums about how people can work together to lessen their environmental impact and create a greener community.
Speakers will include Seattle's own Bus Chick Carla Saulter, GRIT TV host Laura Flanders, environmental activist Dune Lankard, and a host of others. Many local businesses will also be on hand to demonstrate their commitment to green practices, sustainability and fair trade.
The event takes place tomorrow from 10:00am-7:00pm and Sunday from 11:00am-6:00pm at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center at 800 Convention Place (at Pike Street). Tickets are $15.00 for regular admission, or $10.00 for seniors, students, and bus riders with a valid transfer or bus pass. If you can't make it to the festival, you can catch up on interviews and speakers at Green Festival TV online.
